A Night of August: 2025 SCPHS Speech & Drama Production | Friday, May 9th, 2025

🎭 SAVE THE DATE: The Southland College Prep Speech and Drama department is excited to host a Spring Showcase on Friday, May 9th, 2025, at 7:00 PM.

This theatrical live production will feature this year's Group Interpretation "The Six Triple Eight," along with a new six-scene compilation of works by renowned African-American playwright, August Wilson.

Not only does this production tell the incredible story of the 6888 Battalion, but it also aims to educate and expose students to the significance of community through the Black experience as depicted in many of August Wilson's famous works, including: "Fences," "Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom," "The Piano Lesson," and "Seven Guitars."

We invite you to spread the word and bring your family and friends to join us for this evening of inspiring performances.
